Xayar jujube is a specialty of Xayar County in Aksu Prefecture, Xinjiang. The jujube produced by pollution-free jujube production base in Shaya County is big, thin-skinned, small-nucleated, thick-fleshed, bright in color, high in sugar content, and of high nutritional and health care value. Shaya county has abundant sunshine, abundant heat, dry climate and large temperature difference between day and night, which is very suitable for jujube planting. In recent years, Shaya county party committee and government, combined with the adjustment of agricultural industrial structure, have paid close attention to jujube production, strengthened jujube processing and sales, and extended jujube industrial chain, and jujube industry has shown a thriving scene. In 2010, jujube in Shaya County passed the certification of pollution-free agricultural products, which further improved the popularity of jujube in Shaya County and the enthusiasm of people of all ethnic groups to develop jujube industry. The county planted 410,000 mu of jujube with an output of 117,100 tons, and there were 4 enterprises engaged in jujube acquisition and processing, with sales income of more than 45 million yuan. "Tadiak" brand red dates produced by Tarim Green Agricultural Products Science and Technology Development Co., Ltd. in Shaya County won the gold medal at the second Xinjiang Agricultural Products Beijing Fair.
