Kuqa medicine mulberry

The largest area of medicinal mulberry in China is distributed in Kuqa County, Aksu Prefecture, southern Xinjiang, with an estimated 100,000 medicinal mulberry trees. Medicinal mulberry is distributed in Yaha Township, Wuzun Township (Wuzong Township), Wuqia Township, Sihalath Township, Yuqisitang Township, Bixibage Township, Qiman Township, Akewustang Township, Hanikatamu Township, Tarim Township, Alahag Township, Dunkuotan Township and Agger Township in Kuche County, but it is distributed in Yaha Township, Wuzong Township and Agger Township along National Highway 314. Medicinal mulberry is distributed all over Kuqa County. In order to develop the characteristic forest and fruit industry, the county committee of Kuqa County began to advocate the development of medicinal mulberry in 2008, and a large number of grafted trees began in 2001-2002, so the grafted trees are all 3-5 years old now. The old trees grafted for 40-50 years bear 100-200 kg, the trees grafted for 10 years bear 20 kg, and the trees grafted for 5-6 years bear 1-5 kg. At present, Kuqa County, Xinjiang has Qiuci Liquor Co., Ltd. and Xinjiang Tunhe Aksu Fruit Industry Co., Ltd. (Kuqa) to produce canned medicinal mulberry and medicinal mulberry wine. Now Akesulin Fruit Industry has selected "Eight Famous Danes" Kuqa Medicine Mulberry as the geographical indication certification trademark.
