Papaya is a unique wild resource in China. Papaya grown in Qinba area is a strange fruit, which blooms in spring and matures in autumn. It has golden color, rich aroma, sour taste and fresh and pleasant fragrance. Most people use it as medicine, and its efficacy is recorded in Compendium of Materia Medica. Papaya has a long history of planting in Baihe County. In recent years, Baihe County has vigorously promoted the construction of papaya industry, and has now formed a 100,000-mu papaya planting base with an annual output of more than 200,000 tons of fresh papaya. Tested by Tianjin Institute of Light Industry and Northwest A&F University, Baihe Chaenomeles contains 16 kinds of amino acids needed by human body, especially rich vitamins A and C, effective anti-cancer vitamin B17, and homogeneous acid with multiple health functions. Baihe papaya not only has nutritional value and medicinal value, but also has health care effect. Papaya wine produced by Yijiu Winery in Baihe County is a fruit wine made from the first-class local fresh papaya as the main raw material and fermented twice at low temperature, which absorbs and retains the useful ingredients in the fresh papaya to the maximum extent, making it unique and sour, refreshing, mellow and sweet, and lasting in fruit fragrance. Since it was put on the market, it has been favored by consumers and won many awards. In July, 2003, it was recognized by China Food Industry Association as "national food with comprehensive quality, hygiene and safety standards". At present, Baiheyi brand papaya wine has become a household name in Ankang and its surrounding areas, which can be described as "famous in jinzhou area".
