When cooking porridge, the pyracantha flour was added to the porridge to avoid the famine season when the food was not enough. Now pyracantha fortunei has lost its former function, and it can only be tasted by children in the city. Pyracantha fortunei has also become a good tree species for gardeners and workers to plant bonsai.
