In recent years, with the goal of establishing a strong fruit industry area in China, the district party committee and district government have fully implemented the strategy of "establishing fruit industry area", continuously expanded the scale of apple planting, and comprehensively implemented standardized production, which has greatly improved the output, quality and benefit of apples. At present, the area of apples in the whole region is 300,000 mu, including 150,000 mu of fruit, and the per capita orchard area of farmers is 3.1 mu. In terms of standard production, 104,000 mu of orchards passed the national green base certification; The 1,000-mu orchard passed the European standard, and the 10,000-mu orchard passed the China Good Agricultural Practice Certification (CGAP). 424 provincial, municipal and district-level demonstration parks were established, covering an area of 40,000 mu. In 2009, the total output of apples in the whole region was 165,000 tons, an increase of 19.6% compared with 138,000 tons in 2008. The output value was 445 million yuan, up 46.9% from 303 million yuan in 2008; The per capita net income of apple farmers was 4,150 yuan, an increase of 26.9% compared with 3,269 yuan in 2008. The per capita net apple income of farmers was 3,075 yuan, an increase of 39% compared with 2,213 yuan in 2008. Apple industry has become the pillar of Indo-Taiwan agriculture and rural economy, the industrial support of new rural construction, and the main source of increasing farmers' income.
