Bulang people live in Brown Mountain, Xiding and Bada in Menghai County, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, and the rest are scattered in Yunxian County, Zhenkang, Gengma, Shuangjiang and Lancang, Jingdong, Jinggu and Mojiang counties in Lincang area. The Bulang men wear double-breasted collarless jackets and long black trousers. The head is wrapped in black or white cloth, which is five feet to ten feet long. Older men also have the habit of storing hair plates on their heads. In the past, men, women and children were barefoot all the year round, and men were generally tattooed, with various patterns tattooed on their limbs, abdomen and back. Bulang women mostly wear tight collarless jackets on their upper bodies, and some also wear collared blouses. The clothing color is mainly black or navy blue. The coat is below the waist, slightly longer than Dai clothes, and covers the inside or both sides. She wears a double-decker skirt, which is shorter than the Dai skirt. Usually, she only wears a light-colored inner skirt at home, and when she goes out, she puts on a dark-colored outer skirt with floral decorations, and generally reveals a two-or three-inch inner skirt. Some people wear a belt around their waist and leggings tied to their calves. The head is tied in a bun and wrapped in a big Baotou. The cloth in Baotou is about ten feet long. Baotou is often decorated with silver chains, silver bells and other accessories to clip red wool spikes, and the earlobe should also be decorated with bright red wool spikes on the silver round piece. Necklaces, bracelets, backpacks and other places are also decorated with metal pieces and red wool spikes. Young girls like to wear flowers on their heads. The Bulang nationality has a unique custom of "dyeing teeth". They think that only black teeth are the strongest and most beautiful. Only young men and women with dyed teeth have the right to fall in love.
