Kele pig is a specialty of Kele Township, Hezhang County, Bijie City, Guizhou Province. Kole pig (also known as Wujin pig) is a kind of pig with both meat and fat, with good meat quality. It is a high-quality raw material for processing ham and bacon, and enjoys the name of "Xuanwei ham Kole pig". Kele pig is a famous local pig breed in northwest Guizhou, with Kele Township of Yi and Miao nationalities in Hezhang County as its central producing area. As the main branch of Wujin Pig, Kele Pig is very similar to the "Tao Pig" unearthed in Kele Township, Hezhang County, hence its name. Kole pig is a grazing pig, which is adapted to the cold climate and extensive feeding. It has a strong system and developed hind legs.
