Fengdu Red Heart Pomelo, originated in Sanyuan Town, Fengdu County, Chongqing, has been carefully selected for many years. The pomelo fruit is large, with a single fruit weight of 1,500 grams, edible rate as high as 55.5%, thin skin, even and tidy petals, easy separation, few stones, pink and pleasing color, juicy, tender residue, moderate sweetness and sourness, soluble solids of 11.2%, sugar content of 9.37 grams per 100 ml of juice, rich flavor and rich in various nutrients. In 2001, the production scale of red heart pomelo has reached 36,000 mu, with an annual output of nearly 3,000 tons. In 1994, it was rated as a high-quality fruit in Sichuan Province, won the silver prize in the second China Agricultural Expo in 1995, won the national pomelo appraisal gold prize in 1998, won the title of the top ten famous pomelo in Chongqing, and won two gold cups of "High-quality pomelo" and "Commercial treatment of high-quality pomelo" in the seventh national pomelo scientific research and production cooperation meeting in 2001.
