Fengdu longan

Fengdu county is located in the east of Sichuan basin in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, in the heart of the Three Gorges reservoir area, and belongs to the humid monsoon climate zone in the middle subtropical zone. The average annual temperature is 18.3℃, the average sunshine is 1276 hours, and the frost-free period is 336 days. It has the climate, soil and irrigation conditions suitable for longan planting, and it is a golden land for planting longan. Specific quality Fengdu longan is of excellent quality, with the characteristics of large fruit and small stone, thick meat and fragrant flavor. Cultural allusions Xingyi Town, Fengdu, is a golden place for planting longan, which has been planted for thousands of years. Since 2003, Xingyi Town of Fengdu has introduced high-quality longan varieties such as Dawuyuan Longan, Shijie Longan and September Wulongyan from Fuqing City, Fujian Province, and gradually grafted and improved the original old varieties to continuously expand the planting area. In 2006, Xingyi Town in Fengdu was named "the hometown of longan" by Chongqing. Fengdu longan is a geographical indication certification trademark.
