Liangping New Year Pictures

Liangping New Year pictures: traditional woodblock New Year pictures, which are as famous as Mianzhu New Year pictures in northwest Sichuan and Jiajiang New Year pictures in south Sichuan, are also called "the three major New Year pictures in southwest China" and have a history of more than 300 years. There are four kinds of Liangping New Year pictures: parallel imports, consignment, clear chapter and stationery. The paper used is white bamboo handmade paper produced in local Baili Bamboo Sea. New Year's pictures are exquisite in color technology, excellent in raw materials, bright and dazzling in color, dignified and calm, and have been preserved for many years. Whether depicting customs and human feelings, or folk stories and opera myths, they are full of strong life breath. The composition is full and concise, the characters are exaggerated and deformed, the color contrast is strong, the static and dynamic treatment is proper, and the shape is simple and rough. The traditional New Year picture "Shiro Visiting Mother" was included in the Complete Works of China Fine Arts, and "Jia Guan Jin Jue" was included in the Complete Works of China Folk Fine Arts.
