Dazu rock carvings

Dazu is in the southeast of Sichuan Province and the upper reaches of Ganges River, a tributary of Tuojiang River. In Beishan, Shimen Mountain, Baoding Mountain and Shizhuan Mountain of the county, there are more than 40 stone carvings that were built in the late Tang Dynasty and finally became in the Southern Song Dynasty after five generations, with more than 50,000 statues. Therefore, Dazu is called the "hometown of stone carvings".
