Baojing ceramic

Baojing County is rich in purple sand pottery and magnesia pottery resources, which are concentrated in Maogou, Datuo, Yezhuping and other towns, with a reserve of more than 3.5 billion tons. The clay is of high quality, small shrinkage, high strength and good acid resistance, and it is the famous hometown of purple sand pottery in China. Baojing ceramic technology has a history of 100 years, and ceramic products are famous far and near. At present, there are 13 private ceramic production enterprises producing on a large scale. The types of ceramic products have developed to wine ceramic packaging bottles, high-grade magnesium reinforced porcelain tableware and tea sets, arts and crafts ceramics and other varieties. Products are exported to all parts of the country and enjoy a good reputation. In recent years, Baojing County has made full use of the rich local resources and vigorously developed the ceramic industry, which has now become one of the four pillar industries in Baojing County. However, with the formation of ceramic industry cluster in Baojing County, the healthy development of Baojing ceramic industry has been seriously restricted and hindered because of the lack of standardized management of industry chambers of commerce, the government's failure to improve relevant policies, and the prominent short-term behavior of some ceramic business owners. According to the on-the-spot investigation by the provincial geological and mineral department and Shandong Silicate Research and Design Institute, only the reserves of purple clay in Yezhuping Township of Baojing County are more than 100 million tons, and the reserves of ceramic raw materials such as kaolin, magnesia clay and quartz sand in the county are also more than 10 million tons. After more than ten years of practical production and application, it has excellent grade, great development and utilization value and broad prospects. On the basis of the struggle of its own people and relying on the strong support of the government, Baojing is striding forward with new development opportunities.
