Dawei mountain pear

Dawei Mountain Pear is a specialty of daweishan town, Liuyang City, Changsha City, Hunan Province. The pulp of Dawei Mountain pear is white, crisp and juicy, and the stone is very small. Dawei Mountain pear is a national product protected by geographical indications of agricultural products. Daweishan town is located in the northeast of Hunan Province, on the border between Hunan and Jiangxi, bordering Pingjiang in the north, Tonggu in Jiangxi in the east, Zhang Fang Town in the south and Dahu Town in the west. The famous Liuyang River originated here, and the bright Pearl Dawei Mountain in eastern Hunan is embedded in it. In recent years, the planting scale of characteristic fruits in daweishan town has increased by 2000 mu every year, and the total planting area has exceeded 24000 mu. Peach, pear and plum are the main fruits, accounting for 80% of the total fruit area. The town has developed more than 2,000 fruit growers and built 15 characteristic orchards and scale bases such as Jinxi, Jingtou and Yangmeiling. In 2011, the town achieved a total fruit output of 10.5 million kilograms and a total industrial output value of 44 million yuan. In 2013, the "Dawei Mountain Pear" declared by Liuyang Fruit and Tea Industry Association passed the examination and expert review by the Agricultural Products Quality and Safety Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, and implemented the registration and protection of national agricultural products geographical indications. The geographical protection scope of pear production area in Dawei Mountain is defined as daweishan town, Zhang Fang Town and Xiaohe Township in Liuyang City. The geographical coordinates are 113 58 ′ 59 ″ east longitude ~ 114 15 ′ 08 ″ north latitude ~ 28 11 ′ 24 ″ north latitude.
