Bajiaoxi Village of Weishan Town is located in the western mountainous area of Ningxiang County, Hunan Province. Weishan has a long history of producing tea. As early as the Tang and Song Dynasties, it was the origin of tribute tea to the court, and Bajiaoxi Village was the origin of Weishan tea. Based on this historical resource advantage, Bajiaoxi Village actively carried out the construction of one village and one product, established the development of famous and excellent tea as a breakthrough for villagers to get rid of poverty and become rich, established a tea professional cooperative, built a tea garden base of 8,000 mu, vigorously promoted the construction of scale, standardization, branding and marketization, and developed the Weishan tea brand. At present, every family in Bajiaoxi Village has a tea garden and every household has tea picking, and more than 80% of the farmers in the village are specialized in tea industry. In 2010, the income of tea industry in the whole village reached 28 million yuan, and the per capita income of tea industry reached more than 10 thousand yuan. The development of tea industry has also promoted the development of tourism in the village. On the basis of tea gardens, tourism, farmhouse music, catering industry and transportation industry have sprung up, providing more than 120 jobs for villagers.
