Fuan thorn grape

Fuan thorn grape is a specialty of Fuan City, Ningde City, Fujian Province. Fuan thorn grape is a fresh fruit with rich and sweet juice, which is not sour or astringent. It is deeply favored and has remarkable economic, ecological and social benefits. Fuan thorn grape is a national product protected by geographical indications of agricultural products. The grape industry belt in Fu 'an is mainly produced in Xita thorn grape valley, covering 16 villages including Hutou, Yulin and Gaoling, covering an area of more than 1,200 mu, with an annual output of more than 1,500 tons. In the process of planting wild thorn grapes, the She people, in combination with the local geographical environment and specific conditions, planted along the stream, set up a frame on the stream surface, made full use of the space on the stream surface, and let the thorn vines cross each other, forming a unique "thorn grape ditch" in the south, which stretches for nearly 5 kilometers. The ditch is shaded by the sun, and the water gurgles under the ditch. The gravel paths set on both sides have a unique taste. In 2014, the "Fuan thorn grape" declared by Fuan Economic Crops Station passed the examination of the Agricultural Products Quality and Safety Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and organized expert review, and implemented the registration and protection of national agricultural products geographical indications. The geographical protection scope of Fuan Vitis spinosa is defined as 37 administrative villages such as Xita, Muyang and Fengyang in 5 townships (towns) such as Muyang She Development Zone, Muyun Township, Muyang Town, Kangcuo Township, Xitan Town and Banzhong Township in Fuan City. The geographical coordinates are 119 27 ′ 14 ″ east longitude ~ 119 35 ′ 56 ″ north latitude ~ 26 09 ′ 22 ″ north latitude. Fuan thorn grape is a geographical indication product of agricultural products.
