Glossy snow honey

Glossy snow honey is a specialty of Guangze County, Nanping City, Fujian Province. Snow honey in Guangze county is especially suitable for health care and medicine because of its low water content, high concentration and rich fragrance. Snow honey, that is, winter honey, as its name implies, is honey harvested in winter. Because it looks white like snow, it is also called snow honey. Bee farmers in Guangze County, Wuyishan raise wild bees, which can only be raised once a year. During the period from beginning of winter to the winter solstice, wild bees collected the nectar of Toona sinensis (Osmanthus fragrans) and made it into snow honey. The wild wasp is a wild bee species bred in Wuyishan Nature Reserve, while the growth environment of Toona sinensis is almost in the virgin forest area or remote mountainous area, and it is inaccessible. The temperature is already low when wild wasps collect honey from Toona sinensis, and the flowering period is very short, so the output of snow honey in Wuyishan is very rare.
