Shunchang hongxin pomelo

Shunchang Red Heart Pomelo is a specialty of Shunchang County, Nanping City, Fujian Province. Shunchang county red heart pomelo has the characteristics of moderate size, rich aroma, bright red seedless pulp, crisp and juicy, sweet and sour taste. Shunchang Red Heart Pomelo is produced in Shunchang County, Fujian Province. The production base is far from the urban area, surrounded by dense virgin forests, with superior ecological conditions and no pollution sources. In 1998, our county introduced American Qiangdele Red Heart Pomelo from China Citrus Research Institute for trial planting. In 2000, it was found that a Qiangdele Red Heart Pomelo produced seedless variation, and then the mutant was selected for three generations, which confirmed that the variation character of seedless Red Heart Pomelo was stable. Confirmed by China Citrus Research Institute, this variation was first discovered in China, and it was named Shunchang Red Heart Pomelo. Shunchang red heart pomelo has yellow skin, bright red flesh, juicy slag and positive taste. It contains 12% soluble solids, 10.9% invert sugar and 53.3 mg/100 g V-C (higher than that of sweet oranges and wide-peel oranges), and is also rich in bioactive substances such as β-carotene, rutin, flavonoids and naringin. After eating, it has the effects of lowering blood pressure, softening blood vessels, promoting digestion, improving eyesight and protecting liver. In December, 2006, when the Provincial Government Organs Administration Bureau collected fruits for the State Banquet in Zhongnanhai from all parts of the province, Shunchang Red Heart Pomelo, a new citrus variety selected by Zhao Musong, was sent to Zhongnanhai for the first time, and won the title of "Fruit for the State Banquet" with its characteristics of moderate size, rich aroma, bright red seedless pulp, crisp and juicy, and sweet and sour taste.
