Lianhua alpine tea

Junying Village, Lianhua Town, Tong 'an District, Xiamen is located at the foot of the second highest peak in Xiamen, with an altitude of more than 1,000 meters. It is one of the highest villages in Xiamen. The village is adjacent to Anxi County, the hometown of Tieguanyin, with similar soil and climate conditions, suitable temperature, abundant sunshine, abundant water resources and no industrial pollution, and the tea produced is of good quality. Therefore, the tea produced is known as "Lotus Alpine Tea". It is located at the junction of Xiamen, Zhangzhou and Quanzhou, and its geographical position is very important. Junying Village is the main producing area of alpine oolong tea in Xiamen, with 500 workers, more than 80% of whom are engaged in tea production and management, with an annual output of more than 300 tons of oolong tea. Tea planting in Junying Village has a long history. Tea was widely planted in Junying Village more than 300 years ago, and tea income is the main source for villagers. There are more than 7,000 mu of tea gardens in Junying Village, which is an important export tea planting base in Xiamen and is sold at home and abroad. Becoming Xiamen Port is also the first registered export tea planting base in Fujian Province. Since 2008, the new rural construction has greatly changed the village appearance of Junying Village, which is the first batch of ecological civilized villages in Fujian Province. In 2011, Junying Village (Tea) was recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture as a "National One Village One Product" demonstration village. At present, the village has planned to make use of the advantages of the existing tea gardens, and plans to develop rural tourism projects with the theme of tea making, tea tasting and leisure sightseeing in two phases for five years to drive villagers to increase their income.
