Jingde green sugarcane

"Jingde Green Sugarcane", a variety of sugarcane, is well-known both inside and outside Anhui Province. The temperature, moisture, soil and light in Xuande County are suitable for the growth of sugarcane. Sugarcane has been cultivated here for more than 1000 years. According to county records, cultivation began in the early Eastern Han Dynasty. "Jingde Green Sugarcane" has a thick stem, a length of 1.5-2 meters, a diameter of 5-6 cm, wide leaves, cylindrical internodes, no bud furrows and prominent buds, high yield and sugar content of about 11%. Crispy, thin-skinned, rich in water and little in fiber, it is suitable for raw food. "Jingde Green Sugarcane" can be stored properly until May of the following year.
