Jiuhuashan Polygonatum is a specialty of Jiuhuashan in Chizhou City, Anhui Province. Polygonatum sibiricum, the finished product of Jiuhuashan, is made of natural Polygonatum sibiricum. After nine steaming and nine drying processes, it is red inside and yellow outside, and it tastes sweet. It is known as "Nine Polygonatum sibiricum", and it can prolong life if eaten regularly. Polygonatum sibiricum is a perennial herb of Liliaceae, also known as cockscomb, tiger ginger, wild ginger, etc., which mostly grows on both sides of damp hillsides or valleys, with a leafy branch, short leaves like bamboo, underground stems, horizontal roots, one section a year, one foot ten years long, green and white flowers, three to five integrated umbrellas, drooping pedicels, horizontal roots, plump meat, and the essence of loess as the saying goes. Polygonatum sibiricum has a wide range of producing areas, and it is only produced in Jiuhua Mountain. It is known as "Changbai Mountain ginseng in the north and Polygonatum sibiricum in Jiuhua Mountain in the south". Jiuhuashan Polygonatum has a long history. The rhizome of Polygonatum sibiricum is used as medicine, which has the functions of invigorating qi and nourishing yin, invigorating spleen, moistening lung, benefiting kidney function, lowering blood pressure and blood sugar, increasing coronary blood flow, reducing blood lipid and delaying atherosclerosis. Over the years, Qingyang County has vigorously developed the production of "Jiuhuashan Polygonatum" through base construction, and developed a series of tourism products, such as Huangjing wine, Polygonatum cake, Polygonatum preserves, Polygonatum instant tea, Polygonatum fruit, Polygonatum buccal tablets, Polygonatum rice noodles, etc., to enhance the grade and added value of tourism products. At present, the planting area of "Jiuhuashan Polygonatum" has reached 11,000 mu.
