Therefore, Caojiezi radish is exported to Nanjing, Bengbu, Huainan and Jieshou. Close sales in Mengcheng, Guoyang, Lixin and Fengtai. All merchants and pedestrians passing through Caojiezi always buy some to take back, and some people even come here to buy them. Caojiezi radish was very famous in Ming and Qing Dynasties. It not only has distinctive characteristics, namely, good taste, positive color, white and crisp pulp, sweet and spicy taste, but also has rich medical value, such as catching a cold, coughing and feeling stuffy, and it seems that the disease is relieved after eating, so radish is also called "Shunqi Pill". People often say, "It's nothing to starve a doctor if you eat winter radish and drink tea." Therefore, some people always treat radish as a kind of food on the guest table or as a gift. There are more than 120 families in Caojiezi, most of whom are surnamed Cao. There is an east-west street in the middle of the village, with more than 2,000 people. Almost every family has a radish production garden, with an acre of eight cents. Most of them rely on radish production to increase their economic income. Because no matter how big or small the market town is, when I heard that it is Caojiezi radish, it sells very well. Caojiezi radish has two colors, namely, green and red. There are also two shapes of radish: one is round, which grows on the soil layer and looks big and round, called "big top red"; One is long, growing under the soil layer. At first glance, it seems small but big, and it is also called "thieves don't steal". The largest of these two types of radishes can grow to two to three kilograms, and generally more than one kilogram. Every late autumn and early winter, the harvest season is extremely gratifying.
