Jinzhai black tea is a specialty of Jinzhai County, Lu 'an City, Anhui Province. Jinzhai black tea is tight and fine in appearance, moist and golden, with copper red and bright soup with amber gold rings, sweet aroma, fresh and mellow taste, and even and bright red leaves. Jinzhai black tea is a national product protected by geographical indications of agricultural products. In 1950s, Fudan University, the predecessor of Tea Department of Anhui Agricultural University, organized experts to guide Jinzhai to produce black tea, and the quality of black tea produced was excellent. "Jinzhaihong" tea is mild in nature, compact, round and straight in shape, showing golden fineness, moist in color, sweet and fresh, rich in fire, bright in copper red and amber gold rings in soup, fresh and sweet in taste, and sweet and nourishing in body fluid. Long-term drinking can strengthen bones and teeth, lose weight and keep fit, strengthen the heart and prevent diseases, resist radiation and cancer, and be healthy. In 2013, the "Jinzhai Black Tea" declared by Jinzhai County Tea Development Office passed the examination and expert review by the Agricultural Products Quality and Safety Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, and implemented the registration and protection of national agricultural products geographical indications. The geographical protection scope of the origin of Jinzhai black tea is defined as meishan town, Mabu Town, Youfangdian Township, Qingshan Town, Zhang Chong Township, Junjun Township, Taoling Township, Tiechong Township, Yanzihe Town, Tiantangzhai Town, Gubei Town, Wujiadian Town, Huashi Township and Baitafan Town in Jinzhai County.
