Chaohu huantuan

Chaohu Huantuan is a specialty of Chaohu City, Hefei City, Anhui Province. Chaohu Huantuan uses high-quality millet as raw material, supplemented by sugar and carefully fried. Handmade, it tastes sweet, pure and natural fried rice fragrance. Chaohu Huantuan is a ping-pong food composed of fried rice and caramel, which is similar to Chaohu candy. Huantuan means "joy and reunion". Legend has it that when Liu Bei went to Soochow to recruit relatives, he sent a "happy group" of 100,000 Chaohu Lake to the people along the Yangtze River, and this "good news" was widely spread, which turned false into reality. At present, Huantuan is mostly produced by folk workshops in Xiage and Zhegao areas of Chaohu Lake, and it is still a small accessory gift that must be given to relatives and friends in local weddings.
