In 2001, this variety was rated as a high-quality product at the national pomegranate producing area experience exchange and cooperation meeting held in Lintong County, Shaanxi Province. In the same year, it was inspected as a high-quality product by Huaibei Pomegranate Research Institute. The quality of this variety is extremely top grade, with high yield, which can be developed in a large area. Dahongpao pomegranate is a good variety suitable for the development of mountainous areas because of its strong tree potential, easy yield, storage and transportation, and excellent quality.
