High goat

Qingtian county Xiaozhou Mountain, a high goat, is rich in mountain resources. Local farmers have made full use of this advantage to develop goat breeding and have had many years of breeding experience. In 2004, in order to get rid of poverty as soon as possible and seek another way to get rich for the people, the township developed and improved the demonstration site of alpine ecological sheep raising in Xiaozhoushan Village, invested more than 30 million yuan to improve the hardware facilities and advertising promotion of the demonstration site, established the first 300-square-meter sheepfold, and took the opportunity of the science and technology correspondent to carry out the "Hundreds of Households and Thousands of Sheep" project. The high goats in Xiaozhoushan Township are kept in the traditional wild, and all sheep feed on natural weeds, so the meat quality is tender and tasteless. At the same time, the breeds of sheep are constantly optimized through the cause of high-quality sheep species-Boer goat. At present, sheep breeding in Xiaozhoushan Township has begun to take shape, covering 67 households in 9 administrative villages in the township, mainly in Xinjian Village, Shangshanlu Village and Xiping Village.
