Dongkui Myrica rubra

Dongkui Myrica rubra has a long history of cultivation near the sea (nearly 1700 years ago). It is a traditional characteristic fruit in Linhai City. Before liberation, it was the largest fruit variety in Linhai City. In the 1980s and 1990s, with the adjustment of planting structure and the recent vigorous development of returning farmland to forests, the city has cultivated 110,000 mu of Myrica rubra, with an annual output of 40,000 tons and an output value of nearly 200 million yuan, making it the second largest fruit industry in Linhai City after citrus, and being included in the industrial belt of superior agricultural products in Zhejiang Province. The production of bayberry in Linhai is superior in climatic and geographical conditions and good in ecological conditions, and the produced bayberry has good appearance and excellent quality. Cultivated varieties include Dongkui, Eleocharis tuberosa, Linhai Zaodamei, Shui Mei, etc., which are mature and listed from mid-June to mid-July every year. Among them, Linhai Zaodamei and Dongkui Yangmei are famous and won the gold medal of the Provincial Agricultural Fair for many times. Linhai Zaodamei is a variation variety of local Shui Mei in Linhai, with early maturity, large fruit shape, storage resistance and excellent quality. Dongkui Myrica rubra has a large fruit shape, gorgeous color, sweet and sour taste and rich flavor. In 2003, Dongkui Yangmei, the "Upstream" brand produced by Yangmei Industrial Cooperative in Baishuiyang, Linhai City, won the "Top Ten Excellent Yangmei in Zhejiang Province" and was awarded as a provincial-level agricultural famous brand product in 2005. There are 3 towns with bayberry planting area exceeding 10,000 mu in Linhai, among which Baishuiyang Town is the most concentrated, and it has been awarded the title of "Hometown of Bayberry in Zhejiang". In the production of bayberry in Linhai, pollution-free standardized production technology is emphasized, and the use of agricultural inputs is strictly controlled to ensure the safety and hygiene of production and consumption. The local standard of bayberry near the sea was formulated. Established the Yangmei Industry Association, with 13 group members and 51 individual members; Actively develop the industrial cooperation organization of Myrica rubra, and set up 14 farmers' professional cooperatives mainly engaged in Myrica rubra, with more than 2,000 farmers and more than 10,000 mu of joint bases. Myrica rubra implements the "six unifications" standardized production and operation of unified production management, unified technical standards, unified product quality, unified packaging, unified brand and unified sales. Seven cold storages have been built. Qingfeng Brand, Upstream Brand, Double Brand, German Silver Medal Dongkui Yangmei and Zhengfeng Brand Zaodamei produced by five cooperatives, including Qingfeng Fruit Cooperative and Upstream Yangmei Cooperative, obtained green food certification.
