Five-flavor porridge

Five-flavor porridge for Spring Festival breakfast varies from place to place. Tiantai urban and rural areas eat all kinds of porridge. The so-called "five-flavor porridge" is porridge cooked by five kinds of foods: white rice, red dates, tofu, jar beans and taro. It comes from Buddhist monks who prayed for "Five Blessingg" in the New Year and cooked this miscellaneous soup.
