Qingyan Qingyan is the Qingming Tuanzi, but the practice is different. In the Qing Dynasty, every household picks tender grass such as cotton green (rat weed) and glutinous rice green, cooks it, mashes it, mixes it with glutinous rice and kneades it into a ball, embeds it into stuffing, which is sweet and salty, and then steams the newly picked catalpa leaves on the front and back towels, which is often used as a grave offering in Xian Yi, young and old.
