The loquat industry in Tongyu Town, Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province is famous all over the country and is a famous hometown of loquat. At present, the planting area of loquat is 7200 mu. The total investment of the project is 10 million US dollars, covering a total area of 700 hectares and a building area of 25,000 square meters. The scenic spot of Tongyu Liangxi in Taizhou, Zhejiang Province is the "hometown of loquat in China", and Tongyu Town, which is located at the foot of Liangxi Mountain in Luqiao, is famous for its loquat industry. According to historical records, loquat was cultivated in this town during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. At present, the planting area of loquat is 7,200 mu. In 1997, the total output of loquat in this town reached 4,078 tons, accounting for 1/4 of the national output in that year, making it the first pillar industry in this town. In 1996, Tongyu Town was named "the hometown of loquat in China" by the Ministry of Agriculture. In 2000, the Provincial Forestry Department awarded Tongyu Town "Hometown of Loquat", which was included in the list of the first hometown of forestry specialties in the province. Since 1997, whenever the tourism sub-bureau of loquat mature season zone and Tongyu Town Government have held a tourism festival with the theme of eco-agricultural sightseeing in loquat garden, the project construction is divided into three phases, including the first phase from the end of 2004 to 2006, the second phase from 2006 to 2007 and the third phase from 2008 to 2010. The tourist park of Tongyu Liangxi Scenic Area in Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province has carried out overall planning and reconstruction for loquat scenic area, and built rest and amusement places such as Xicuitan, Shangxin Pavilion, Tea Room and Yuemu Pavilion. It will form a loquat sightseeing area, an agricultural sightseeing and recreation belt, an ecological landscape recreation belt, and a variety of participatory entertainment projects in the leisure and holiday park. Traditional folk customs display, treasure hunting in the mountains, opera performances, loquat picking and other activities will make visitors linger.
