Luqiao loquat

Luqiao loquat has a long history, and it was cultivated in Song Dynasty. In Chicheng annals of Jiading in Song Dynasty, it was recorded that "loquat, with dense shade leaves, flowers in winter and fruits in summer". The total output of Luqiao loquat once accounted for a quarter of the whole country in history, and it is the main loquat commodity production base in China. At present, the existing loquat planting area in our district is nearly 4000 mu, and the main varieties are Dahongpao and Baisha. Tongyu Street, as the main loquat producing area in Luqiao, was jointly named as "Hometown of Loquat in China" by the Ministry of Agriculture and "Hometown of Loquat in Zhejiang" by the Provincial Forestry Department in 1996. There are 22 villages in four streets, namely Tongyu Street, Fengjiang Street, Luoyang Street and Lubei Street, in luqiao district, luqiao district Linte Station, Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province. The geographical coordinates are 120 13 ′ 00 ″ ~ 121 22 ′ 00 ″ east longitude and 28 27 ′ 00 ″ ~ 28 38 ′ 00 ″ north latitude. Agi 2010-09-00533 Luqiao loquat is a geographical indication product of agricultural products.
