Huangyan loquat

Huangyan is a famous hometown of loquat in China. Huangyan County, Zhejiang Province has been planting batches for more than 700 years, and there are more than 10 varieties such as Dahongpao, Luoyang Green, Baisha and Luoyou. These varieties are large in fruit, thick in meat and juicy. Huangyan is one of the main loquat producing areas in China, with a history of more than 700 years of loquat cultivation. The whole region has high-quality red sand loquat (Luoyang Green, Dahongpao) and white sand loquat (Ninghai White and Soft Striped White Sand) and other main varieties. At present, the planting area of loquat in the whole region is 22,000 mu, the output is 15,000 tons, and the output value is nearly 100 million yuan. In recent years, our district has attached great importance to the development of loquat industry, and issued "Several Opinions on the Development of Famous Fruit Industry". The district finance arranges no less than 5 million yuan for the development of famous fruit industry every year. According to the requirements of modern park construction, our district has vigorously implemented the construction of loquat boutique bases, and formed large-scale loquat production bases such as Jiangkou, Yuanqiao, Yutou, Ningxi, Shangzheng, Toutuo, Beiyang, Gao Qiao, Shangyang, Shabu and Nancheng. Through the implementation of old loquat tree regeneration, excellent loquat varieties have been introduced and cultivated, and the variety structure has been continuously adjusted and optimized. At present, there are 48 professional cooperatives and marketing enterprises related to Huangyan loquat industry in the whole region, and many loquat brands such as "Jiu Feng", "Dongzu", "Santong 'ao", "Tangkui" and "Shangfeng" have been formed. Among them, "Jiu Feng" brand loquat has won the gold medal in the Provincial Agricultural Expo for many times and the second prize in the first Zhejiang Agricultural Guinness Loquat Challenge. In January 2011, Huangyan Loquat was successfully awarded the "National Geographical Indication Certification Trademark". Huangyan loquat is a geographical indication certification trademark.
