Jiangshan honey is a specialty of Jiangshan City, Quzhou City, Zhejiang Province. Jiangshan City is the largest beekeeping city (county) in China. In 2001, it was named the "Hometown of Bees in China" by the Ministry of Agriculture. Jiangshan City is the largest beekeeping city (county) in China, with 252,300 bee colonies, accounting for 6.36% of the total number of Italian bees in China. The scale and economic benefits of bee industry have been ranked first in all counties (cities) in China for 16 years in a row, and it was named "Hometown of Bees in China" by the Ministry of Agriculture in 2001. As early as 2001, Jiangshan took the lead in formulating five Zhejiang local series standards such as bee species, feeding management and disease prevention, and two national standards such as safety requirements for pollution-free bee products and environmental requirements for pollution-free bee products. At the same time, the national Spark Plan Technology Innovation Center was established in Hengliang Company, the Zhejiang West Bee Industry Technology Innovation Center was established in Health Company, and the Qianhong Bee Industry Research Institute was established in Qianhong Company, which provided strong scientific and technological support for the development of bee industry in the city. In 2002, Hengliang Bee Products Company took the lead in breaking down barriers with organic and green as the core, and its products were allowed to be exported to the European Union. Other enterprises followed closely and achieved "breaking the wall and rebirth". After the lifting of the EU ban in 2005, Jiangshan bee products took the lead in passing the EU inspection and fully entered the EU market. After that, Jiangshan bee products successfully broke the "green barrier" in Japan. Twenty percent of imported royal jelly and honey in Japan come from Jiangshan.
