Ke Cheng sturgeon

Ke Cheng sturgeon is a specialty of Kecheng District, Quzhou City, Zhejiang Province. Kecheng District has developed sturgeon breeding industry by taking advantage of unique cold water resources, forming a new pattern of sturgeon industry development integrating breeding, breeding, processing, export and leisure, and has become the largest sturgeon breeding base and national sturgeon breeding farm in one fell swoop. Sturgeon, as an ancient cartilaginous scleroderma fish, has thick meat and soft bones, delicious taste, and extremely high medicinal and nutritional value, especially caviar processed from sturgeon eggs, which ranks among the three delicacies in the world. At present, the price per kilogram in the international market is as high as 2,000 US dollars, and it enjoys the reputation of "black gold". Relying on the high-quality cold water resources of large reservoirs in the upper reaches of Wuxi River (Hunan Town Reservoir and Huangtankou Reservoir), farmers in Kecheng District began to cultivate sturgeon since 2005. Sturgeon is favored by farmers because of its large size, fast growth, strong adaptability and few diseases. At the end of 2006, the sturgeon high-tech park covering an area of 145 mu settled in Kecheng District Garden. Kecheng District took Acipenser Dragon Company as the leader, formed an industrialized production and operation mode of "company+base+farmer", and established the professional economic cooperation organization of ACIPENSER in Kecheng District. At the beginning of 2008, the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences officially awarded Kecheng Sturgeon Breeding High-tech Park as the "National Demonstration Base for Transformation of Scientific and Technological Achievements". There is an existing breeding base in the whole region, covering an area of nearly 100,000 square meters, with an annual stocking of 260 tons of sturgeon. There are 4 breeding communities, covering an area of more than 5,000 square meters, with 8 tons of sturgeon raised annually and 2 million seedlings bred. The base directly drives 38 farmers to breed sturgeon, which increases farmers' income by more than 3 million yuan. By 2012, Kecheng District will achieve a processing scale of 30 tons of roe sauce, 1,000 tons of fish and 300 tons of accessories, with a comprehensive output value of 400 million yuan and a profit and tax of 110 million yuan. 20 million sturgeon fry are cultivated every year, with an output value of 60 million yuan, a breeding output of 2,000 tons and an output value of 140 million yuan; Drive 7000 people to engage in aquaculture and related industries, and increase the income from agriculture and fisheries by more than 80 million yuan annually. It is estimated that by the end of the Twelfth Five-Year Plan period, the sturgeon breeding area will reach 1,000 mu and the radiation area will reach 5,000 mu, ranking first in the country. The processing scale of sturgeon roe sauce reaches 50 tons, ranking first in the world.
