Yongxiang Gongrui Yangmei is a specialty of Jiangnan Street in Yongkang City, Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province. Gongrui Yangmei has been a tribute of the court since the Southern Song Dynasty. There are nearly 10 varieties of Myrica rubra in Yongxiang Gongrui, among which water chestnut, the dominant variety, accounts for more than 70%. Gongruixia Village, Jiangnan Street, located in the southwest mountainous area of Yongkang City, is the origin of Yongkang's rich purple bayberry. In this village, there are more than 3,000 mu of Myrica rubra planted at the foot of the hill on both sides of the pit, which is more than 3 Li long, and it has a long history. It is called "Gongrui XiaMyrica rubra" and is known as the top product of Myrica rubra. Every midsummer, Myrica rubra is covered with branches, just like burning sparks, and it feels like "never drooling" when entering its territory. Therefore, in the "Yongkang Landscape Fu", there is a praise of "Gongrui Yangmei is like a red jade plate", and there is a folk saying that "Gongrui Yangmei is delicious and even swallowed". In order to carry forward the brand of "Gongrui Yangmei", focus on developing the characteristic economy in mountainous areas, and increase income and efficiency for Shan Nong, Yongkang Municipal Government has held "Gongrui Yangmei Festival" every midsummer Yangmei harvest season since the early 1990s. In this way, with the holding of Yangmei Festival, Yangmei under Gongrui has spread to more than 10 nearby villages, and the planting area has increased to more than 6,000 mu so far, gradually forming the industrialization and brand awareness of Yangmei planting. Later, from 2007, the "Gongrui Yangmei Festival" was changed to the current "Yongxiang Yangmei Festival", and it was held alternately in Xiashanmen Village and Gongruixia Village.
