Pujiang peach-shaped plum is a specialty of Pujiang County, Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province. Peach-shaped plum is a rare and famous fruit that was successfully planted, developed, cultivated and popularized in Pujiang County in 1980s. It has peculiar fruit shape, separated kernel and meat, fine and crisp meat, sweet and sour taste and rich nutrition. Peach-shaped plum, also known as pointed peach-shaped dense plum, is a late-maturing variety of Chinese plum. Fruit with large core and small storage resistance can be eaten fresh and processed, and it bears early fruits and yields high yield. It is a unique variety in Pujiang County, Zhejiang Province, and is also a good fruit tree vigorously promoted in our province. Peach-shaped plums were first discovered in the early 1980s. Because of their appearance like peaches and plums, they are very popular among the masses. In recent years, in order to solve the problems concerning agriculture, rural areas and farmers, the county party committee and government of Pujiang have taken the development of high-quality fruits as the "highlight" to give full play to the advantages of mountainous areas, and issued a series of preferential policies, which has accelerated the development of peach-shaped plums in Pujiang County, and has now expanded from 49 mu to more than 50,000 mu, of which the resulting area is 30,000 mu. With an annual output of more than 50,000 tons of fresh fruit and an output value of 260 million yuan, it has become the largest peach-shaped plum producing county in Zhejiang Province. China Economic Forest Association organized an expert group to make an on-the-spot investigation on the peach-shaped plum base in Pujiang County, and formally named Pujiang County as the "hometown of peach-shaped plums in China" according to the relevant provisions on the identification of "China as a famous and excellent economic town" formulated by the association, and issued plaques and certificates.
