Wuyi honey pear

Wuyi honey pear is a specialty of Wuyi County, Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province. Wuyi is one of the three pear export base counties in China. "Tongqin Honey Pear" in Wuyi County is famous for its large fruit, sweet taste and beautiful appearance. Wuyi is one of the three largest pear export base counties in China determined by the Ministry of Foreign Trade. Since the 1950s, honey pears have been cultivated, which is one of the main honey pear producing areas in the province. The cultivated varieties include early-maturing Cuiguan, Xizilv, New Century, Jushui, middle-maturing Huanghua and Qingxiang. "Tongqin brand" honey pear was selected as one of the top ten pears in the province and obtained the right to use the national green food mark. At present, there are more than 12,000 mu of honey pears planted in Wuyi County, with an output of more than 30,000 tons and an output value of nearly 100 million yuan. Among them, the area of honey pears in Tongqin Town alone is 4,500 mu, with a total output of more than 13,900 tons. Honey pear industry has become an important part of increasing agricultural efficiency and farmers' income in this county. In recent years, Wuyi county has held Tongqin Honey Pear Festival, formulated the development plan of honey pear industry, actively introduced new varieties and technologies of honey pear, vigorously developed facilities agriculture such as spray and drip irrigation, and established professional cooperatives of honey pear. Wuyi honey pear has greatly improved in planting technology, fruit quality, business model, brand value and reputation.
