Because its hair on the head, neck, buttocks and tail is black, and the rest is white, it is also called "two-headed black", which is one of the local fine pigs in China. Originated from the picturesque waters and lakes in Dongyang, Yiting in Yiwu, filial piety in Jinhua, Lipu, Caozhai and other places. Since the 1960 s, the breeding range has gradually expanded to both inside and outside the province. Jinhua pig skin is thin and thin, with delicious meat and high fat content. Its hind legs are the best raw materials for curing ham. Jinhua pig has many litters, good motherhood, large lactation, high feeding rate and good reproductive performance. Relevant departments began to take measures to protect Jinhua pigs from the end of 1970s, and Jinhua Pig Farm, Municipal Agricultural Research Institute, Agricultural Test Station and Dongyang Seed Farm carried out breeding work in a planned way according to three types: large, medium and small. (Jinhua) Jinhua Two-headed Black Pig Zhejiang Jinhua Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Bureau Jinhua Wucheng District, jindong district, Lanxi City, Dongyang City, Yiwu City, Yongkang City, Pujiang County, Wuyi County, Pan 'an County and other 9 counties (cities, districts) and 151 towns (streets) and 5,051 villages (neighborhood committees) under the jurisdiction of municipal and development zones.
