According to the determination, tobacco leaves contain 14.50% of total sugar, 14.02% of protein, 2.62% of total nitrogen, 2.16% of nicotine and 1.03% of Schmuk's value. It has a typical oriental tobacco style, so it is known as "Oriental Tobacco". Product history: Xinchang oriental tobacco was introduced from Turkey in 1951, and it was successfully planted in Hehuatang Village, Chengnan Township. In the same year, the standard acquisition was established, which was the earliest in China. It has a history of more than 50 years. The annual output is about 20000 tons. After the establishment of Xinchang Tobacco Company in 1986, it took the development of oriental tobacco as its own responsibility, and the quality of oriental tobacco was continuously improved by constructing the production and marketing system, perfecting the technical service network, strengthening scientific and technological research, and popularizing new technologies and achievements. In 1988, it was listed as a national production base county of oriental tobacco. Oriental tobacco production is a traditional backbone industry in mountainous rural areas of our county.
