Huyang Huyang is a rare local breed of lamb. The central and eastern parts of Deqing have humid climate and lush grass. Hu sheep like to eat mulberry leaves, aquatic plants, silkworm excrement and other feeds are very rich. According to records, in the Southern Song Dynasty, Hu sheep was introduced from Mongolia. Later, raising Hu sheep became a traditional sideline of farmers, and every family had the habit of keeping them in captivity. Xiaohu sheepskin is a lamb skin made by slaughtering and peeling the lambs that have just been born but have not been milked by ewes. It is fetal fur fur, with white and smooth fur, silky luster, thin and soft skin, thin and thick hair, curly hair but not standing when shaking, flowing patterns, beautiful and pleasing to the eye, comfortable to the touch, and unique in the world lamb skin. Xiaohu sheepskin is widely used to make fur-turned mourning, trimmed coats, spring and autumn fashions, children's clothes, hats, shawls, etc., and is well received by consumers. Xiaohu sheepskin is an important specialty in China and a traditional export product in China. However, the breeding range of Hu sheep is limited to Hangjiahu area, which is the only breeding area of Hu sheep in China and even in the world. Huzhou is known as the "Hu sheep" because it has the most breeding and the best quality. In 1923, Xiaohu sheepskin was exported for the first time and enjoyed a high reputation in the international fur market. It was called "the soft gem of the East" and became one of the four precious lambskin in the world.
