Jili Husi, also known as Jili Silk, is named after it was produced in Jili Village, Nanxun Town, and it has been produced since the end of Yuan Dynasty. According to historical records, nine imperial robes woven in Kangxi period of Qing Dynasty were made by selecting silk as warp thread by name. In 1851, Xu Rongcun, a Shanghai businessman, used raw silk produced in Jili Village, Nanxun, Huzhou to participate in the first World Expo held in London, England, and won the gold and silver prizes in one fell swoop.
