Wencheng Yangmei is a specialty of wencheng county, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province. Wencheng Yangmeisu is famous for its huge size and comfortable entrance. It has not only obtained the national certification of pollution-free agricultural products, but also ranks among the "Zhejiang Fine Myrica rubra". Wencheng county is located in the mountainous area of southern Zhejiang, in the middle and upper reaches of Feiyun River in the west of Wenzhou, with a total land area of 1 293.24km2. It is a typical mountainous county in Zhejiang Province. The landform is dominated by middle and low mountains and hills, belonging to subtropical marine monsoon climate zone, with four distinct seasons, abundant rainfall, no severe cold in winter and no heat in summer. The annual average temperature is 14~18℃, the coldest average monthly temperature is 8℃, the extreme lowest temperature is -5.9℃, the hottest average monthly temperature is 28.2℃, the extreme highest temperature is 40.8℃, and the annual average rainfall is 1 772.4 mm Because it is located in the mountainous area, with mountains and valleys, the temperature difference between day and night is large, it is unique to develop fruit industry, and the soil and water conservation is good, without any industrial pollution. The quality of water, soil and air all reaches Grade A, and the advantages of environmental resources are obvious. Wencheng county has a mountainous area of 88,000 hm2, of which 17,000 hm2 of gentle slopes can be planted with Myrica rubra, which has great development potential. Since the Wencheng county party committee and government put forward the strategic goal of "prospering the mountains and enriching the people" and building a "landscape paradise" in 1995, wencheng county has made great efforts to develop the fruit industry, and Zhejiang Province has also increased its financial support for underdeveloped areas, which has effectively promoted the development of fruit production in wencheng county, especially the production area and output of Myrica rubra have increased rapidly year by year. In 2000, the area of Myrica rubra in wencheng county reached 1 312 hm2, of which the production area was 661.5hm2 and the total output was 2 661.7 t, which was 2.17 times and 2.76 times that of 1994 respectively. The cultivated varieties are mainly water chestnut and Dongkui Myrica rubra, accounting for 56. 6% and 35.7% of the total area respectively. By 2008, the planting area of Myrica rubra in wencheng county reached 2,513.3 hm2, including 1,466.7 hm2, with an annual output of about 5,490 t and an output value of 34 million yuan, which has begun to take shape in industry. It has formed a bayberry planting industrial belt along Feiyun River, which is dominated by Shanxi, Yangshan, Shanglin, Daxie and Zhangtai, and a bayberry industrial belt in Zhongshan, which is dominated by Huangtan, Jinlu, Zhourang and Liyang. Especially in the two "1,000-acre high-quality Myrica rubra demonstration bases" in Nanlin and Yangshan of Shanxi, the varieties are mainly water chestnut species and Dongkui Myrica rubra. The production and processing of bayberry in wencheng county has initially taken shape, with Wenzhou Dishi Yangmei Brewing Co., Ltd. as the leader, driving three bayberry bases, such as Shanglin, Yangshan and Shanxi, and guiding wencheng county fruit farmers to grow fresh food and process green pollution-free products according to market demand.
