Portunus yanting

Portunus Yanting is a specialty of Yanting Office in Jinxiang Town, Cangnan County, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province. Portunus yanting stands out as one of the top ten famous crabs in China with its delicious crab meat and rich nutrition. Yanting has a long coastline, a vast sea surface and a suitable climate. It is located at the sea of Jiaojiang River, where cold and warm currents meet, and has a unique marine ecological environment. Portunus (river crabs) and crab seedlings are very rich in resources. Portunus (river crabs) are distributed in the deep sea area of 30-40 meters near the coast to 60 meters deep outside. It is the most important breeding and habitat of swimming crab (Eriocheir sinensis) in China. Portunus yanting (Eriocheir sinensis) is one of the eight dominant aquatic products in Wenzhou's marine fishery, and it is well-known at home and abroad for its full fat, strong vitality, full crab roe, and large individual. It is also a delicacy on the table of Japanese, Singaporean and Taiwan Province people, and exported to Europe, America and other countries and regions, which is favored by foreign friends. In 2007, Yanting won the title of "Hometown of Portunus China".
