Bayberry in Longwan

Bayberry cultivation in Longwan District has a long history. According to the records of Yongjia County in the eighth year of Guangxu (1882), bayberry was introduced to Da 'ao River in Zhuangyuan Town of Longwan more than 100 years ago. Bayberry Ding 'ao in Longwan District is a traditional famous fruit in Wenzhou and one of the four famous varieties in Zhejiang Province. Its characteristics are bright color, soft and delicious, good quality and high market popularity. The existing planting area of Myrica rubra in the whole region is 19,000 mu, with an annual output of 5,000 tons, an output value of 50 million yuan and 9500 employees. In May 2003, it was awarded the title of "Hometown of Myrica rubra in China". In the same year, the application of Zhejiang Forest Food Base Project was approved, and the "Research and Promotion of Key Technologies of Myrica rubra Industrialization", which was declared by the district government and approved by Wenzhou Science and Technology Commission, was successfully carried out. The research on greenhouse cultivation technology of Myrica rubra made a breakthrough and passed the project review, and the research on dwarf technology of Myrica rubra also made a happy breakthrough. In addition, Yangmei Science and Technology Park, Wenzhou Daluoshan Yangmei Research Institute and Da 'aoxi and Xiangdongyan Yangmei Cooperatives were established successively, and "Da 'ao" Yangmei, "Yaoxi" Yangmei and "Long Sen" were registered. In 2001, at the third fresh fruit tasting meeting of Myrica rubra in Wenzhou, Da 'aoxi Myrica rubra won the gold medal and Yaoxi Myrica rubra won the silver medal. In the 2003 Zhejiang Top Ten Myrica rubra Appraisal Meeting, "Da 'aoxi" Myrica rubra and "Yaoxi" Myrica rubra won the "Jiu Feng Cup" and the first prize respectively. There are more than 3,000 mu of forest food Yangmei base with 200 insecticidal lamps, and a pollution-free production base in the whole project area has been built. It can be said that the construction of Yangmei industrial belt has achieved initial results, the potential advantages are constantly being transformed into practical advantages, and the resource advantages are gradually turning into market advantages. Yangmei has become a "green bank" in Longwan District to expand the rural economy and increase farmers' income. In the future, Longwan District will speed up the construction of forest food base around the construction of the core demonstration area of Myrica rubra and the transformation of low-yield garden, adhere to the principle of putting science and technology first and putting green standard brands first, give full play to the demonstration and radiation function of the core park, and constantly develop and improve in the direction of quality, science and technology, industrialization and internationalization, and strive to build a mature, dynamic, high-quality and efficient agricultural industrial park, strengthen and expand Myrica rubra industry, and make it an economic growth point for agricultural efficiency and income increase.
