Wenzhou embroidery

Ou embroidery, a local traditional art in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, and one of the six famous embroideries in China, was developed from the traditional embroidery in China, and started in the Tang Dynasty more than 1000 years ago. It flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, when it was mostly used for embroidery patterns in temples. In the third year of Xianfeng in Qing Dynasty (1853), Wenzhou began to set up professional embroidery shops.
