Ningbo straw mat

It is abundant in Huanggulin area of Xixiang, Ningbo. It has four characteristics: first, the texture is precise, so thick that even water is not easy to penetrate; Second, it is stiff and hard, and the straw mat stands upright on the ground, like a fence, which looks strong and powerful; Third, it is soft and smooth, and it is cool, smooth and comfortable to sleep on the mat; Fourth, it is simple to collect, and it does not occupy a position when it is not in use, and it can emit a refreshing fragrance, so it has won universal praise from people at home and abroad. When Premier Zhou Enlai attended the Geneva Conference in 1954, he brought a Ningbo straw mat as a gift to friends from brotherly countries, which was very popular.
