The town's industrial and agricultural output value is 199 million yuan, of which the industrial output value is l.79 million yuan. There are 240 industrial enterprises, and a series of products, such as bamboo veneer, boiled bamboo shoots, chemicals, plastics, electric power, casting, building materials, teaching instruments, refined tea, bamboo products, boiled bamboo shoots, bamboo broom and so on, have been initially formed and exported to Japan, Taiwan Province and Southeast Asia. The town's Spark Corporation Longyou Pressure Plate Factory and Xinxing Industrial Company have the order scale and popularity. Xikou Town was listed as a provincial science and technology demonstration township in 1993. Xikou town actively encourages existing enterprises to carry out technological transformation. In this way, the product grade of the enterprise can be improved and the production scale can be expanded. Tianshi Food Co., Ltd. was originally only a bamboo shoot processing enterprise. Due to seasonal production, the factory building of the enterprise was not fully utilized. In 2003, according to the industrial advantages of Xikou, the enterprise invested more than 6 million yuan to build a new bamboo flooring processing project. After two years of technical transformation, the output value of bamboo flooring will reach 12 million yuan and the profit will be 1.4 million yuan last year. At the same time, the enterprise has also started a new tourist tent project, and its self-operated export reached 1 million US dollars. While effectively utilizing idle assets, the enterprise has realized the extension of the industrial chain and enhanced its vitality and competitiveness. With the appearance of industrial agglomeration effect in bamboo and wood processing park, there are 98 bamboo and bamboo enterprises in Xikou. From January to July last year, the output value of bamboo and bamboo processing enterprises in the town reached 168 million yuan, an increase of 24.8% over the same period last year. The total industrial output value of Xikou has expanded from 220 million yuan in 2002 to 340 million yuan in 2004. Last year, the total industrial output value will exceed 450 million yuan, doubling in three years.
