There are 264,800 mu of bamboo forests in the city, including 196,100 mu of Phyllostachys pubescens, and the total storage of Phyllostachys pubescens is 35.4 million, including 68,500 mu of intensive bamboo shoot dual-purpose forest. 70,000 mu of miscellaneous bamboos (including 26,000 mu of Phyllostachys praecox and 0.5 million mu of Phyllostachys praecox). Bamboo is mainly distributed in Xiaowangmiao, Banxi, Xikou, Shangtian, Louyan, Dayan, Dongli and other towns and villages. The above seven towns and villages all have an area of more than 20,000 mu, with a total of 192,900 mu of bamboo forests, accounting for 72.8% of the city. The total income of bamboo shoots and raw bamboo in the city is between 0.8-1 billion yuan, and bamboo shoots are the leading industries with the most advantages and development potential in the mountainous areas of our city. At present, the main problems in bamboo production are: the production of bamboo and small miscellaneous bamboo in many towns and villages is still at the level of extensive management. The management level of fertilizer cultivation in Zhushan is low, with more taken from bamboo forests and less invested in bamboo forests, and some even in a predatory management state. Many Zhushan contracted the main labor to go out for business, and many Zhushan earned, with less finishing and more rough machining. Raw material sales are still the main form of product sales, and the products have low scientific and technological content and little added value. In the future, the existing 68,500 mu of bamboo and bamboo dual-purpose forest will be consolidated and improved. From 2000 to 2003, 11,500 mu of bamboo and bamboo dual-purpose forest will be planned to be newly developed, reaching the goal of 80,000 mu in the whole city. Continue to do a good job in the construction of edible small miscellaneous bamboo shoots base; At the same time, the newly developed small miscellaneous bamboo covers an area of 10,000 mu, including 5,000 mu of early bamboo and 5,000 mu of late bamboo, bringing the total area of small miscellaneous bamboo shoots to 80,000 mu.
