Penaeus vannamei in Cixi

Penaeus vannamei in Cixi is a specialty of Cixi City, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. Penaeus vannamei culture has become a pillar industry of Cixi fishery. There are 43,000 mu of Penaeus vannamei cultured in Cixi offshore, which are divided into "intensive culture" and "coarse culture", mainly distributed in Andong, Xinpu, Fuhai, Guanhaiwei, Longshan and other towns. There are more than 1,000 farmers engaged in the cultivation of Penaeus vannamei, and the output this year is expected to reach 15,000 tons, with an output value of more than 400 million yuan.
