Cixi tea

Cixi tea

Famous tea comes from high mountains. The mountains and streams in eastern Zhejiang are very beneficial to the growth of tea trees. In the Tang Dynasty, Lu Yu pointed out in the Book of Tea that "Yuezhou, Mingzhou and Taizhou all produce tea", and that "the producers of Yuezhou are the best". This shows that eastern Zhejiang is not only a tea-producing area, but also produces famous tea. According to relevant historical records, Yue tea has been listed as a tribute since the Song Dynasty ("Queshe" tea produced in Cixi was listed as a tribute tea in the Qing Dynasty). In the future, the tea produced in Vietnam has further become an important export material and exported to European countries. Most of Cixi's current territory belongs to the ancient Yue land, and its tea resources are very rich, especially in the southern region, where dozens of miles and four bright veins are endless, with strange peaks and dangerous ridges such as the rafters, lions, Kowloon and Baishijian, and many lakes and reservoirs such as Shanglin, Meixi, Shang 'ao and Shao 'ao, where the land is high and the clouds are steaming. Among the many teas produced in the south of Cixi, the most famous one is Zhucha produced in Longnan area, which is commonly known as Longnan tea. Most tea trees in Longnan were born halfway up the mountain, and they were picked around Grain Rain. The finished tea leaves are round and tight, with heavy bones and solid body, green color and faint white hairs. When you brew a cup, the room is full of fragrance, and when you take a sip, you will have an endless aftertaste. It is exactly "fragrance is fragrant in nine cups, and it is as round as a jasper bead." After long-term development and cultivation, the quality of Longnan tea has been improved. At present, the planting area of Longnan tea in Cixi has reached more than 2,000 mu, with an annual output of nearly 100,000 kilograms. The tea produced is exported to all parts of the country in addition to local supply.
