Ningbo embroidered clothes

Ningbo was once a famous "hometown of embroidery" in history. According to Zhejiang Tongzhi, Jin Xingyue, an embroiderer in Qin County of Ming Dynasty, embroidered 500 arhats and stayed downstairs for several years. After the Opium War, Ningbo was established as a trading port, and foreign missionaries came to Ningbo, and foreign embroidery needle methods and samples were introduced, which was called "foreign tension" by local people. Embroiderers skillfully combine the traditional techniques of local folk embroidery with the "foreign tension" embroidery method and use it as clothing decoration, making Ningbo embroidered clothes unique, colorful and beautiful. Ningbo embroidered clothes are fashionable, beautifully patterned, well-tailored, fine in workmanship, cool and crisp. It is one of the high-quality embroidered clothes in China and won the Hundred Flowers Silver Cup Award in China Arts and Crafts.
